Where is the procedure performed?

How many thoracic endoscopic procedures are performed each year by Drs. Zusman and Joyo?
In 2002, Drs.  Zusman and Joyo performed over 650 chest or thoracic surgeries. Over 60% of those were endoscopic procedures, enhancing their expertise in this area.

How long does Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS) procedure take?
The ETS procedure takes approximately 60 minutes to perform.

How long is the recovery period?
Most people are ready to recuperate at home after spending a few hours in the hospital recovering from the effects of anesthesia. Under most circumstances a full recovery is made in a few days.

What is the success rate for ETS?
Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) has been proven to be a safe technique, and the results in hyperhidrosis are rewarding, with a success rate of approximately 95% in most large series. (See references 1 and 2 below)
